When bulky frames feel too dominant or heavily styled designs compete with every outfit, Sunoptic 599 Prescription Glasses bring the focus back to simple, considered detail. Their slim rectangular eye shape, plain metal construction and fine temples create a low-profile finish that sharpens your look without taking over your features.
We selected this design for everyday wear that feels polished from morning onward. Each order of Sunoptic 599 Prescription Glasses includes the high-finish metal frame, custom 1.5 index lenses, a protective case and a microfibre cleaning cloth, so your new glasses arrive ready to become an easy part of your routine.
This frame is defined by restraint. The unadorned metal eye wires trace crisp, straight, rectangular lines around the eyes, offering structure while keeping the face open and light. This is an ideal choice when you want the precision of metal frame prescription glasses without a thick rim or statement-heavy finish. The blue option delivers a contemporary, cool-toned accent, while brown brings a softer, earthier character that works beautifully with classic layers and neutral tailoring.
At Buy New Specs, we see minimalist frames as a useful wardrobe tool rather than an occasional accessory. Their understated profile suits smart workwear, everyday denim and more formal pieces with equal ease. Although this is a notably slim metal design, those who prefer a fuller silhouette can also explore plastic frame prescription glasses, while active routines may call for dedicated sports prescription glasses. Its streamlined proportions also make it a versatile option across our men’s prescription glasses and women’s prescription glasses selections.
The low-profile rectangular shape adds a neat edge to round, oval and softer facial profiles without appearing severe. Slender metal temples sit lightly along the sides of the head, with smooth protective arm tips for a more comfortable finish. Adjustable nose pads help you personalise the position over the bridge, supporting a secure fit that remains refined rather than overly noticeable.
It works especially well when you prefer an accessory that complements your features instead of masking them. The clean eye line can bring welcome definition to softer face shapes, while the narrow border preserves an uncluttered look. For an existing frame you already enjoy, our reglazing prescription glasses service may be a practical alternative, helping you update your lenses while retaining a familiar style.
From focused daytime work in Dublin to a relaxed evening with a book, this design adapts easily to the rhythm of your day. The quiet, clean-cut appearance looks appropriate in professional settings, on public transport, at casual meet-ups and during quieter weekend plans. It gives you a well-presented finish without needing a frame that feels overly formal or fashion-led.
The prescription can be configured around how you see and work. Reading lenses suit books, files and close paperwork, with prescription reading glasses offering a tailored choice for near tasks. Long-distance lenses support clear transit views, driving and distance-focused activity. For seamless near, intermediate and far vision, consider prescription varifocal glasses; for separate near and far viewing zones, prescription bifocal glasses provide the traditional dual-segment approach.
For screen-heavy days, prescription glasses with blue light filter can support a more considered digital setup. Anti-glare prescription glasses are useful where overhead office lighting, evening driving reflections or bright indoor spaces distract from clear vision. If you want lenses that respond to changing daylight conditions, prescription glasses that react to light offer another adaptable option for life between indoor and outdoor settings.

The best guide for you is to look at your current spectacles. The measurements in millimeters can usually be found on the inside of the frame, on the arm or on the nose bridge. They will look something like this: (example) - 46-20-135
If the measurements are worn away then a mm ruler can be used to measure your old glasses.
1st number - Lens width: Related to your eye size, and typically in the range of 46 (small) to 56 (large) (where the lens is)
2nd number - Bridge width: This is where you nose sits. Typically this is between 15 and 20.
3rd number - Side Length: 130 (short), 135 (medium) and 140 (long) (from lens to the end piece of your ear) We don't quote this number as a high percentage of frames are size 135
